Information on VAT yield from construction and related activities cannot be furnished except as an estimate based on certain non-Revenue statistical data. Bearing this in mind, estimates of VAT yield from building and construction work for the years in question are as follows: 1983, £45 million; 1984, £50 million; 1985, £80 million; 1986, £108 million.
