Vol. 365 No. 11

Written Answers. - Kerry Super-Levy Payments.

78.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the total number of dairy farmers within the Kerry co-operative area who are disadvantaged by the milk super-levy; and the percentage of all dairy farmers in this area in this particular category.

The number of farmers in the Kerry co-operative area who exceeded their quotas and actually had to make super-levy payment for the year 1984-85, was, according to information supplied by the co-operative, 2,852. That represented about 45 per cent of the co-operative's suppliers. The figures for 1985-86 will not be known for some time.
