Vol. 366 No. 4

Written Answers. - Moyross (Limerick) Health Centre.

90.

asked the Minister for Health if he has received proposals for a new health centre at Moyross, Limerick; if he is aware of the urgency and need for such a facility in this vast housing estate; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

A health centre for Moyross is a high priority development for the MidWestern Health Board. Proposals for a building with facilities for social worker, public health nurses, general practitioner, community welfare officer, speech therapy and an associated pharmacy and caretaker accommodation have very recently been submitted to my Department for consideration. Providing planning requirements imposed by the local authority can be accommodated and subject to clarification of proposals for funding I would hope to be in a position to approve this project in the near future.
