Vol. 366 No. 5

Written Answers. - Glassagh (Donegal) Navigational Lights.

36.

asked the Minister for Tourism, Fisheries and Forestry if he will make a full cost grant available towards the cost of restoring navigational lights at Glassagh, County Donegal; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

An engineering report and estimate of cost of replacing navigational lights at Glassagh, County Donegal, are at present being examined in my Department. Until this examination is completed I cannot say what expenditure, if any, would be justified on this work in the fisheries interest. In the event of grant aid from my Department, the maximum grant permissible would be 75 per cent of the total estimated cost.
