Vol. 366 No. 8

Written Answers. - County Donegal Schools.

187.

Mr. Coughlan

asked the Minister for Education the up-to-date position regarding the following schools in County Donegal: (a) Fintra national school, Killybegs; (b) Commons national school, Killybegs and (c) Niall Mór national school, Killybegs.

I understand the Deputy's questions to refer to applications for building grants by the County Donegal schools referred to. The position with regard to Fintra national school is that my Department on 19 February 1986 sanctioned a grant towards the cost of a proposed extension, and is currently awaiting the outcome of a request to the school authorities that planning permission be applied for.

The position with regard to Commons national school and Niall Mór national school remains as indicated in the replies given to the Deputy's previous questions on 5 March 1986 and 11 February 1986 respectively.
