Vol. 366 No. 8

Written Answers. - Kilcock (Kildare) School.

195.

asked the Minister for Education with regard to the proposed extension to the convent primary school in Kilcock, County Kildare; the current position in regard to provision of the extension; when it is expected that the next stage of the planning and development process will be reached; the number of stages that still remain to be processed; the expected time projection in each remaining stage, if there are any difficulties likely to arise to delay the project going to tender; and when this stage will be reached.

A sketch scheme including costings for the proposed extension to the convent primary school in Kilcock, County Kildare has been prepared and agreement has been reached between my Department and the school authorities on a suitable local contribution. My Department expects in the near future to formally sanction a grant for the scheme. Arrangements will then be made for the preparation of the contract documents, after which the question of inviting tenders for the project will arise. It is not possible to give a time projection for the processing of the various remaining stages, or to say in advance what difficulties are likely to arise.
