Vol. 366 No. 8

Written Answers. - Carrickmacross (Monaghan) Street Lighting.

54.

asked the Minister for the Environment if, following a recent application from the county council, he will allocate funds for the provision of street lighting on the NP 2 at Carrickmacross, County Monaghan.

It is not possible at this stage to allocate additional road grants because the funds available in 1986 have been fully allocated.

Subject to the outcome of my Department's examination of Monaghan County Council's proposals for traffic route lighting in Carrickmacross, consideration will be given to the allocation of a grant for the work when the 1987 road grants are being determined.
