Vol. 366 No. 8

Written Answers. - Accounting Procedures.

62.

asked the Minister for the Environment the procedures used for accounting to the Government, by each State board under his control; and if all of these are in keeping with modern accounting and reporting practices.

Each of the State boards under my aegis accounts to the Government on an annual basis through the submission to the Government of annual audited accounts and reports prior to laying before each House of the Oireachtas in accordance with the relevant statutory requirements. I understand that these accounts and reports are prepared in accordance with modern accounting and reporting practices.
