Vol. 366 No. 8

Written Answers. - Kerry Ophthalmic Services.

104.

asked the Minister for Health if he will initiate an inquiry into the Southern Health Board due to the failure of providing ophthalmic services for over two thousand people in County Kerry who are presently awaiting same.

It is essentially a matter for the health board to arrange for the provision of these services within the resources available to it. In the circumstances I do not propose to initiate an inquiry as suggested by the Deputy.
