The amount of ewe premium for 1986 will not be fixed by the EC until early 1987. The amount of ewe premium for 1985, however, was fixed in early 1986 at £16.74 per ewe. The amount of EC suckler cow premium for 1986 will be £27.04. There will be no limit on the number of suckler cows which can attract this premium.
