Vol. 366 No. 9

Written Answers. - Clare School.

115.

asked the Minister for Education if he will immediately provide two prefabricated classrooms for a school (details supplied) in County Clare; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

This school has satisfactory permanent type accommodation consisting of four general classrooms, two woodwork rooms, one metalwork room, one home economics room, one science laboratory, one typing room plus ancillary accommodation.

This represents more than sufficient accommodation for the school's present and projected enrolment. In addition the school has one prefabricated classroom which is in good condition. In the circumstances my Department's sanction, which has been sought by the school authorities, for the provision of two new prefabricated classrooms in replacement of two unsatisfactory prefabricated classrooms, will not be forthcoming.
