Vol. 367 No. 1

Written Answers. - Clontarf (Dublin) Orthopaedic Hospital.

89.

asked the Minister for Health if he will agree to increase the non-capital allocation to the Clontarf Orthopaedic Hospital by £200,000 for 1986, in order to enable them to meet their liabilities.

Officers of my Department met representatives of the hospital referred to on 23 May 1986, and certain adjustments were agreed which had the effect of reducing the amount by which the allocation fell short of requirements, as estimated by the hospital. The hospital are now considering what measures could be taken to achieve savings towards the residual deficiency and are to report back to the Department. The situation will then be reviewed.
