asked the Minister for Justice if he has any plans to amend the law whereby a woman married to a man who is an Irish citizen may become a citizen without naturaliation, but the reverse position does not apply.

The matter is dealt with in the Irish Nationality and Citizenship Bill, 1985, which was debated in this House yesterday and on previous occasions and which is now before Seanad Éireann.
