Vol. 367 No. 8

Written Answers. - County Galway School.

169.

asked the Minister for Education the up-to-date position in relation to the erection of a new school (details supplied) in County Galway; the present stage of this school building; the date on which it arrived at this stage; if money has been included in the 1986 Estimates for the building of this school; when he expects the building to commence; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Following the acquisition by the school authorities in March 1986 of a site, my Department requested its professional staff to undertake a feasibility study in relation to the proposed new school building referred to in County Galway. As the project is at an early stage of development the question of making an allocation for it in the current year's estimates did not arise. I am not in a position at this stage to say when the building may commence.
