asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in the payment of a £1,000 new house grant to a person (details supplied) in County Cavan; and when payment will be made.

There has been no undue delay in dealing with this case. A grant will be paid when an inspection establishes that the house has been satisfactorily completed and occupied and that all the conditions applying to the grant schemes have been fulfilled. The inspection will be carried out within the next few weeks.

asked the Minister for the Environment when an inspection will be carried out for a person (details supplied) in County Dublin who is awaiting a decision in order to commence work.
