Vol. 367 No. 8

Written Answers. - Disabled Drivers' Concessions.

87.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will give details of the concessions available in respect of motoring costs to disabled drivers.

Section 43 of the Finance Act, 1968, provides exemption from payment of road tax by persons wholly or almost wholly without the use of each leg in respect of vechicles specially adapted for use by them as drivers and used by them as drivers or passengers.

I understand that disabled drivers who qualify for that concession are also given exemption from payment of parking fees by a number of local authorities.
