Vol. 367 No. 10

Written Answers. - County Galway Turbary Tenants.

64.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he is aware of efforts being made to evict tenants who have turbary rights from boglands in County Galway; if he will establish the reason the Land Commission wish to proceed with such evictions in view of the fact that the tenants involved have being paying rent for as long as 35 years; and if he will now make arrangements for continued tenancy of the boglands in question by the tenants who have been cutting turf since the lands were divided by the Land Commission 35 years ago.

The Land Commission has no proceedings to evict tenants from boglands in County Galway.
