Vol. 368 No. 2

Written Answers. - Clare School.

109.

asked the Minister for Education if he will immediately provide the necessary finance to build a school (details supplied) in County Clare.

In my Department's view the school referred to, which has received conditional recognition only, to date, has not yet reached a stage of development where its long-term accommodation needs are clear. Accordingly, the question of providing capital grants for permanent school building does not arise at this time.

My Department's local inspector has been asked to investigate the school's representations regarding its need for temporary accommodation in the immediate future. The Department will communicate further with the school authorities when the inspector's report has been received and considered.
