Vol. 368 No. 8

Written Answers. - Treatment of Dublin Patient.

163.

asked the Minister for Health if he will intervene in the case of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 7 who, for a variety of reasons including his present ill-health, wishes to continue having drugs and X-rays administered through the Charles Street clinic which is most convenient for him instead of Lord Edward Street to where he has apparently been referred; and if he will ensure that his medicines will be administered from Charles Street in view of the circumstances of his case and his ill-health.

As consideration of the case in question is essentially a matter for the Eastern Health Board it would not be appropriate for me to intervene. I have, however, referred the matter to the chief executive officer, Eastern Health Board for immediate re-examination with a request that he reply directly to the Deputy on the outcome.
