Written Answers. - County Roscommon Farming Statistics.

228.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the number of herd owners in DED's Lismaha, Athleague West, Rosmoylan, Donamon and Fuerty, County Roscommon, the number who applied for the feed voucher scheme; the number who qualified; the average payments received; the number who qualified for aid under the Shannon basin scheme; the total amount paid out; and if those who did not qualify for the feed voucher scheme will be allowed to make application for the Shannon flood scheme.

The number of registered herd owners in the DED's listed is 389. Of these, 246 applied for the feed voucher scheme and 197 qualified for aid. The average amount of aid allocated was £194 and 2 tonnes of cheap intervention grain.

One hundred and eighty three of those who qualified for aid under the feed voucher scheme have qualified for aid under the extended Shannon Valley flood scheme. Payments will be made in the near future.

Only those who qualified for aid under the feed voucher scheme were eligible for aid under the extended Shannon Valley flood scheme.
