Aid is available under the farm improvement programme and the programme for western development for the conversion of existing buildings to certain other uses provided the structure is sound, warrants conversion and, with certain limited exceptions relating to cattle housing and silage storage, has not previously been grant aided. I do not propose to provide aid for the improvement of existing farm buildings.
