The Revenue Commissioners have advised me that the taxpayer ceased employment in September 1985. His tax liability for 1985-86 has been reviewed following the recent receipt from him of the necessary details of pay and tax deducted and the resulting overpayment was refunded to him on 29 August 1986.
His tax liability for 1984-85 cannot be determined pending receipt from his former employer of details of his pay and tax deducted for that year. The inspector is experiencing difficulty in obtaining the required particulars.
