Vol. 369 No. 1

Written Answers. - Medical Card Eligibility.

310.

asked the Minister for Health the present position of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 1 for a medical card, as his income is only £2 over the limit.

Eligibility for a medical card is determined solely by the chief executive officer of a health board. Accordingly, in this instance, the Deputy's question has been referred to the chief executive officer, Eastern Health Board, with a request that the board examine the matter and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
