I would direct the Deputy's attention to the statements made in the House by the Taoiseach and by the Leader of the Opposition on 5 and 10 April 1984 Official Report volume 349, columns 1453 to 1457 and 1580 to 1588). I mention the statements of the leader of the Opposition as well as those of the Taoiseach because of the fact that the allegations appear to relate, for the most part if not entirely, to the year 1982 and, principally, to December of that year.
