Vol. 369 No. 1

Written Answers. - Under-Age Drinking.

407.

asked the Minister for Justice if he has any proposals to introduce legislation to curb the drinking of alcohol, especially by young people, in the public street.

A Bill providing for the implementation of the liquor licensing decisions announced in the national plan is being prepared and should be ready for publication in the near future. The Bill will also include provisions aimed at curbing under-age drinking. In advance of publication of the Bill I cannot comment on its detailed provisions.
