Limerick East): I have received the NESC report on designation of areas for industrial policy which was published in December 1985. At that time the ESRI were commissioned to advise on what changes would be appropriate in relation to designation employing the criteria specified in the NESC report. The advice provided by the ESRI is being examined within my Department and no decision on any changes in the designation of areas will be taken by the Government before this examination is completed.
