The information requested, in so far as it is reasonably available, is as follows:—
—the number of applications under the 1985 house improvement grant scheme received from County Offaly up to 30 September 1986 was 2,155;
—the number of approvals was 1,800 approximately including those cases covered by the special dispensation from prior inspection announced in February last;
—the number of applications from County Offaly in respect of which a prior inspection is due to be carried out is about 300.
—information on the number of applications rejected is not available as such records are not compiled on an ongoing basis.
