The applicant has submitted revised plans for the house which have been approved for grant purposes. When notification is received that all work has been carried out a further inspection will then be arranged with a view to payment of the grant.

An inspection will be carried out shortly to determine the applicant's eligibility for a grant and he will be notified as quickly as possible of the outcome.

The first and second instalments of the mortgage subsidy have been paid. The third instalment is not due for payment until July 1987.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in paying a new house grant to a person (details supplied) in County Monaghan and when the grant will be paid.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 85 and 88 together. The applicant in this case is deceased and his widow was asked to provide certain information in connection with the application. This information was received on 15 October 1986 and a final inspection with a view to payment of the grant is now being arranged.

86.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a home improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Monaghan.

A grant could not be allowed in this case as, contrary to a condition of the scheme a period of ten years had not elapsed since the payment of a new house grant in April 1978. The applicant has been so informed.

87.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a person (details supplied) in County Cavan will receive a new house grant.

A grant will be paid when an inspection establishes that the house has been satisfactorily completed and occupied and that all the conditions applying to the grant scheme have been fulfilled. An inspector called recently but was unable to gain access to the house. A further inspection, by appointment, will be carried out as soon as possible.
