asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in the payment of a reconstruction grant to a person (details supplied) in County Louth as application was made and completed in February 1986; the amount of such grant; when it will now be paid; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

There has been no undue delay in this case. The relevant file is with the inspector and an inspection will be carried out within the next few weeks with a view to payment of the grant approved.

There has been no undue delay in this case. The approved grant of £800 will be paid within the next few weeks.
