Vol. 369 No. 5

Written Answers. - Galway Postal Strike.

171.

asked the Minister for Labour if he will intervene in the Galway postal strike with a view to resuming normal deliveries and settling the question of deliveries to the new City Hall.

The Galway postal strike is an unofficial one and it is not my policy to intervene in disputes of that kind.

There are agreed procedures in An Post to cover the type of situation which has arisen in Galway. To date the use of these procedures has not been sought by the staff involved or by their union.
