In the circumstances a further grant cannot be given for a kitchen extension. A grant of £396 has been approved for the replacement of defective windows based on the extent of the works of this kind found necessary on inspection.

Apparently, the applicant overlooked initially to apply for a grant in respect of the provision of a water supply for which he has not been notified of the approval of a grant. A grant for window replacement will be paid within the next few weeks.

A grant cannot be paid in this case because, contrary to the Housing Regulations, 1980 (as amended), notification of completion of work and a claim for payment were not received in my Department by 30 June 1981.
