Vol. 369 No. 5

Written Answers. - Hospital Funding.

113.

asked the Minister for Health if he is aware of the financial situation at St. Vincent's Hospital, Dublin; and if he will arrange to have the essential funding provided, in order to fully protect patients care.

My Department have been in constant contact with St. Vincent's Hospital throughout the year to monitor its financial position. I am, therefore, well aware of the efforts being made by the hospital management aimed at allowing the hospital to live within available funds, while maintaining an excellent level of care to patients. The situation in St. Vincent's will continue to be kept under close review and I am confident that the quality of service in the hospital will be sustained.
