asked the Minister for Labour if he will give details of each hostel for homeless or deprived children funded by his Department including the total funding for 1985, the number of occupants and staff, and the names of the organisations running the hostels.

Information of the nature sought by the Deputy is not readily available and would take a very considerable amount of time to compile.

The management of hostels for homeless or deprived children may apply for assistance under any of the following schemes administered by the National Manpower Service: social employment scheme; Teamwork scheme; employment incentive scheme.

The following information indicates the size of the above-mentioned schemes:
