asked the Minister for Social Welfare the rates of employers and employees PRSI or social security contributions in each of the OECD countries in (a) 1980 and (b) 1985.

The information requested by the Deputy is not readily available.

The following tables give comparative data on employers' and employees' social security contributions as a percentage of GDP, which may meet the Deputy's requirements. The latest information available relates to 1984.
