Vol. 369 No. 9

Written Answers. - Southern Health Board Financial Allocation.

29.

asked the Minister for Health if further funds will be made available to the Southern Health Board to maintain the standard of services and level of health care for the remainder of the current financial year.

I have made the position very clear in discussions with all health agencies that there are no additional funds available to me in 1986 to increase allocation levels.

I am aware of the difficulties being experienced by the Southern Health Baord. However, I understand that all possible steps are being taken to achieve a satisfactory budgetary position while maintaining the current level and standard of emergency and essential health services.
