asked the Minister for the Environment if a house improvement grant has been approved for a person (details supplied) in Dublin 24; and the amount of grant approved.

A grant of £3,360 for a pre-1940 dwelling has recently been approved.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a house improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford.

There is no record of the receipt of an application for a house improvement grant from the person named.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a mortgage subsidy will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Monaghan.

the Environment (Mr. O'Sullivan): The third instalment of the subsidy will be paid within the next few weeks.

asked the Minister for the Environment when approval for a house improvement grant will be given to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny as the inspection was carried out on 11 September 1986; the reason for the delay in having these approvals indicated to the applicant; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

There has been no undue delay and notification of grant approval has issued to the applicant.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a house improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.

An inspection with a view to payment of the grant, will be carried out within the next few weeks.

asked the Minister for the Environment when an inspection was carried out for a person (details supplied) in County Cork for a house improvement grant; and the reason she was notified in the last days of October of approval when in fact the certificate of approval is dated 4 July 1986.

The inspection was carried out during the week ended 4 July, 1986. Approval of a grant had to be deferred until certain information had been furnished by the applicant which she had omitted to supply when completing the application form.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in the payment of a mortgage subsidy to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford despite the fact he was granted approval in June last.

There has been no undue delay in this case. The third instalment of the mortgage subsidy will be paid within the next few weeks.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a house improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford.

An inspection with a view to payment of the grant will be carried out within the next few weeks.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in processing the application for a home improvement grant for a person (details supplied) in County Louth.

There has been no delay in this case. In accordance with the special dispensation from prior inspection announced last February notification issued to the applicant on 3 March 1986, authorising her to proceed with the work in respect of which her application was made subject to the conditions of the scheme (other than the prior inspection requirement) applicable when she applied for the grant. In the meantime, notification relating to completion of work was not received. However, a further application was recently received from the person in question and it has been necessary to request additional information from her relating to it.
