Vol. 369 No. 10

Written Answers. - New Hospital, Tallaght.

44.

asked the Minister for Health the expected figure of expenditure for the construction and completion of the new hospital in Tallaght.

The total estimated cost of the Tallaght hospital project, including the cost of building, design team fees and equipment, is expected to be of the order of £100 million.

45.

asked the Minister for Health if a main contractor has been appointed for the building of the new hospital in Tallaght.

The Tallaght hospital project is currently in the early stages of planning and the question of placing the main contract for the construction of the hospital will not arise until the remaining stages of planning have been completed. A contract has, however, been placed recently for the execution of necessary site works and a start has been made on these works, in advance of the main building contract.
