Payment of suckler cow grants commenced last month and payment of cattle headage and beef cow grants will commence before the end of this month. Payment of calf premiums on calves born up to 15 June 1986 will commence after 15 December 1986 when all calves will be over six months of age and eligible for premium. It is hoped to issue some 130,000 payments of headage on premium grants to herdowners before 31 December 1986.
