asked the Minister for the Environment the present position in relation to the application for a home improvement grant made by a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

A grant of £643 has been approved in respect of the carrying out of necessary repairs to the basic fabric of the house. The applicant has now indicated that additional works are proposed and an inspection will be carried out within the next few weeks to consider the eligibility for grant of these works.

asked the Minister for the Environment the present position regarding the home improvement grant application made by a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

This grant will be paid within the next few weeks.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in the payment of a new house grant to a person (details supplied) in County Galway who has been waiting nine months for payment.

The grant cannot be paid in this case until the applicant furnishes the documentation requested by the Department on 22 July 1986, and 3 November 1986.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will expedite the issue of a certificate of approval in connection with a home improvement grant for a person (details supplied) in County Offaly.

Notification of grant approval has already issued to the applicant.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange for the payment of a £2,000 new house grant to a person (details supplied) in County Offaly which was passed three weeks ago.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange for the payment of the final instalment of a mortgage subsidy to a person (details supplied) in County Offaly.

The final instalment of the mortgage subsidy (£200) will be paid within a few weeks.
