I welcome local initiatives for development, and the Deputy will be interested to note that AnCO is about to commence a survey with the organisations affiliated to Enterprise Connacht-Donegal to gather information on the potential for development in that area.
Given the existing range of public agencies charged with promoting regional development, it would be undesirable to fragment such development approaches through further studies. I would not regard it as appropriate therefore to submit an application by Enterprise Connacht-Donegal for a study grant under budget line 5410 at this time.
