My Department has completed its examination of tenders for the proposed new national school in Listowel, County Kerry. Subject to the outcome of review of enrolments at this school, which have recently been falling, the question of placing a contract for the project will arise for consideration in the light of my Department's 1987 capital allocation for national school building.
A decision in the matter will be conveyed to the school authorities as soon as possible.
