Vol. 370 No. 1

Written Answers. - All-Irish National School for Tralee.

52.

asked the Minister for Education when work will start on the proposed new all-Irish national school, Tralee, County Kerry.

The Deputy will already, I believe, have received a letter from me indicating I had agreed to a rescheduling of the placing of a contract for work on the proposed new all-Irish national school, Tralee, County Kerry. The details of this decision have been conveyed to the chairman of the school's board of management. The two factors with which I feel the school authorities and the Deputy will be most concerned are that arrangements are now in hands, in consultation with the successful tenderer, for the commencement of work, and that a substantial capital allocation will be available for work on the project in 1987. The finalisation of the contract arrangements will take some little time yet and, accordingly, I am not in a position to give a precise date as to when work on the site will start. I will communicate with the Deputy as soon as I have definite information on this point.
