asked the Minister for the Environment the plans his Department have for the improvement of the N18 junction at Hurlers Cross, Clonmoney South, County Clare, to make this junction safe for vehicular and pedestrain traffic; and if no plans exist if he will agree to examine the N18 from Hurlers Cross to Ballycasey with a view to improving and making safe this section of the national primary route.

Primary responsibility for the development of proposals for the improvements referred to by the Deputy rests with Clare County Council and no proposals have been received from the council to date.
