My Department's original allocation to Cheeverstown House via the Eastern Health Board in 1986 is £1.48 million. At present there are 136 day attenders and 10 residents in Cheeverstown House. The continuation of the commissioning of Cheeverstown House will be considered with the Eastern Health Board as sympathetically as possible in the light of the resources available to me for the development of the mental handicap services.
