My Department have received revised plans for the proposed new day care centre for mentally handicapped children in Newcastle, County Wicklow. The revised plans are at present being examined in conjunction with the Eastern Health Board.
The question of proceeding with this centre will be considered as sympathetically as possible in the light of the capital resources available to me for the development of mental handicap services.
