Vol. 370 No. 4

Written Answers. - Centre for Elderly at Bray.

45.

asked the Minister for Health if there are any proposals in his Department for the provision of a day centre for the elderly at Bray, County Wicklow.

The Department have received no definite proposals for a day centre for the elderly in Bray. I am aware that the Eastern Health Board plan to build a new health centre in Bray on the site of the old health centre and of a day club for the elderly run by the Bray Old Folks' Association. The health board and the association are discussing alternative locations for the facilities for the elderly. My Department would consider favourably any proposal from the board to include day facilities for the elderly in the proposed new health centre.
