Written Answers. - County Cork Schools.

171.

asked the Minister for Education the up-to-date position regarding an extension to Ballyhea national school, County Cork.

The preparation of the tender documentation for the proposed extension to Ballyhea national school, County Cork, has almost been completed and the question of inviting tenders for the project will arise for consideration in the context of the 1987 capital allocation to my Department for national school building. The outcome will be conveyed to the school authorities as soon as possible.

172.

asked the Minister for Education the plans, if any, he has for the repair of Ballinagree national school, County Cork.

I should point out that the repair of national schools is the responsibility of their boards of management. My Department has recently sanctioned grants for improvements to the heating system, the play area and fencing at Ballinagree national school, County Cork.
