asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the nine months delay in the payment of a reconstruction grant to a person (details supplied) in County Louth; the grant allocation under each heading; and when payment will now be made.

It has been necessary recently to seek additional information from the applicant in relation to the carrying out of the works and on receipt of that information arrangements will be made to pay the grants. The grants approved amount to £1,087 as follows: replacement of defective windows (£800) and the carrying out of necessary repairs to the fabric of the house (£287). The applicant's eligibility for a grant for additional works has been reviewed but it has not been possible to increase the amounts of the grants to be allowed to him.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in the payment of a mortgage subsidy to persons (details supplied) in County Louth; and when payment will be made.

There is no record of the receipt of an application for a new house grant from the persons named.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a house improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Weterford.

An inspection with a view to payment of the grant will be carried out within the next few weeks.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange urgent payment of a home improvement grant to a person (details supplied) in County Kildare who is seriously handicapped and who is suffering severe hardship as a result of the delay with grant payment.
