These two projects are currently in the early stages of planning. The sketch plans for the new nursing unit in Edenderry and the planning brief for the Tullamore nursing unit were submitted recently to my Department by the Midland Health Board and this documentation is currently being examined.
Discussions will be arranged shortly between officers of the Department and officials of the board in order to clarify certain aspects of the planning documentation. Approval to proceed to the next stage of planning in the case of each project will be considered following these discussions.
