Vol. 370 No. 7

Written Answers. - Drug Traffic.

72.

asked the Minister for Justice the number of people who have been sentenced to jail terms this year for selling drugs on the streets; and the sentences in each case.

Information in the precise form sought by the Deputy could not be compiled except by examination of individual records. That would require the diversion of staff resources which would be unwarranted particularly having regard to the fact that in due course information on drug offenders and offences is published in the Garda Commissioner's annual crime report and the annual report on prisons and places of detention.

73.
